"Columbus Colony Elderly Care maintains, provides a wide array of care and services. We are equipped to provide a full range of Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing services. We staff Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapist and work with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained staff to ensure a speedy recovery."

The "Columbus Colony" facility for the deaf and blind serves as a model program for elderly in the United States. The program has received National and local recognition in serving the needs of the deaf, blind, hearing, and hearing impaired. Although "Columbus Colony" provides specialty services for deaf and blind residents they welcome all residents who need rehab services.
The "Columbus Colony" facility provides unique senior housing services catered to individuals who are deaf or blind such as:
-Interpreters to accompany residents on health care and recreational trips out of the facility
-Tactile communication is available and printed material is also available in Braille
-Audio and visual alarm systems are installed in the building, along with closed-captioned TV, TTY service and phone amplification
The “Columbus Colony Elderly Care and Skilled Nursing Rehab for the Deaf & Blind” Program provide the following nursing care services:
- Nurse Practioner
- Short term and long term nursing care
- Rehabilitation services including physical, occupational, speech therapies
and restorative nursing care services - Stroke Recovery Program
- Pain Management Program
- Fracture Recovery Program
- Intravenous (IV) Therapies
- Wound Treatment Program
- Diabetes Care
- Bariatric Care < 450 lbs.
- Respite Care
- Hospice Coordination Services
- General Rehab and Recuperation Programs
- Pre and Post - Op Care
Columbus Colony Elderly Care Skilled Nursing Care and Rehabilitation is part of a tradition of service dating back to 1896, when the first Ohio Home for the Aged Deaf was founded. Columbus Colony Elderly Care is operated by the Ohio School for the Deaf Alumni Association (OSDAA.) The OSDAA also operates Columbus Colony Housing which is made up of apartments and cottages for Deaf persons on a large park campus.
