Program Description
The Encore.org Fellowship Program places highly-skilled, experienced professionals in social purpose organizations at the end of their midlife careers.
Older adults are matched with their host organizations to ensure a cultural fit. Candidates are screened for commitment, flexibility and willingness to adapt and learn.
The Encore.org Fellowship Program period is typically six months to one year during which older adults or boomers earn a stipend, learn about social-purpose work and develop a network of contacts and resources for the future.
Civic Ventures is a nonprofit think tank on boomers, work and social purpose which aims to help millions of boomers find encore careers combining personal meaning, continued income and social impact.
