Program Description
The "African American Elderly" Program offers African American elderly living in poverty or elderly who are homeless with counselors, case management, health care support, help with securing low-income housing and referrals.
The "African American Elderly" Program caters to African American seniors who are:
-Chronically ill, frail, or disabled
-Unable to obtain services or perform activities of daily living
-Low-income or below poverty level
-At risk of premature institutionalization
-In need of multiple services in order to remain in their homes
-Lacking formal and informal support systems
The "Catholic Community Services" and "Catholic Housing Services" are advocates, providers and partners serving seniors and others in poverty.

American Society on Aging - Network On Multicultural Aging Education Program- Education and training for professionals on diversity and multicultural aging to be used in the development of institutions and programs
New Ventures Leadership Leaders of Color in the Field of Aging Program -2 month program that trains and encourages leadership potential of professionals of color and their critical role in the field of gerontology
