Program Description
"The Value Education on Age Care programme's main focus is to sensitize school children on ageing issues early in life, so they treat their elderly with love and care and understand their issues in depth."

Help Age India’s School Action for Value Education Program focuses on educating children about older adults.
The program focuses on:
- Instilling values of care & respect for the elderly in children.
- Creating an age friendly society.
- Preparing children and youth for their old age.
Talks aimed at educating children on aging and the elderly are given during school assemblies and at other events.
Children PLEDGE:
- To honor everyday those who are aged.
- To express in words, actions and deeds, our gratitude towards our elders our parents & grandparents.
- To do my duty for those who fulfilled theirs.
- To love, respect and care for the elderly in my family and community.
Help Age India is partnering with schools and policy makers on a national level, lobbying them to include aging sensitivity awareness in school curriculums.

MORE SENIOR AND YOUTH SENSITIVITY TRAINING PROGRAMS:
Seniors are Cool Program - Free video and senior sensitivity training teaching school children to dispel misconceptions about seniors.
Friends of the Elderly Transition Year Program - Irish students learn about Irish history through the lives of elderly "back in the day" and receive school credit. This senior sensitivity training not is only educational but increases awareness of seniors.
Intergenerational (Seniors and Youth) Activity Programs - Several different intergenerational social activity programs
