The Without Walls Program aims to help reduce social isolation and loneliness among seniors by providing opportunities for meaningful phone conversations, friendships, and support.
The program connects older adults with common interests and provides an opportunity for lifelong learning.
Each session runs for approximately 13 weeks. Classes include aging topics relevant to older adults such as:
Story and Writing Groups
Armchair Travel
Art Workshops
Health, Insurance and Wellness Classes
Aging
Coffee Talk and more
Volunteer group facilitators are required for the program. Duties include encouraging older adults to share their opinions and have their voices heard, preparing and leading the group and activities from home or office, checking in on older adult participants, providing administrative support, assisting with special events.
