Seniors must be referred by recognized social service agencies or the clergy for assistance.
The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging can help elderly arrange for assistance with the following:
- Affordable Senior Housing Assistance
- Assisted Living or Nursing Care
- Utility bills such as Gas, electric, and water
- Prescriptions and Health Care
- Meal Delivery, Preparation or Food Stamps
- Access and In-Home Mobility
- Grooming and Dressing
- Finding a Caregiver
- Navigating Medicare or Medicaid
- Legal Assistance
- Employment Assistance
In addition to The Emergency Fund for Older Philadelphians, The Philadelphia Fund for Seniors provides older adults with shared rides, home delivered meals, access to senior community center activities, and a senior helpline (215)-765-9040
