Program Description
"Another benefit of this program is that the families just enjoy and appreciate having the artwork that their loved ones are doing. They just didn't even anticipate that this was a possibility and then when they see the work or they see the display they are just overwhelmed with gratitude actually.
–Lenny Park, Director Rose Kleiner Senior Health Center.
The artwork created by individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementia in the "Memories in the Making" Program has been exhibited and used in fundraising activities for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Certain art pieces have been made into greeting cards and calendars or auctioned.
The "Memories in the Making" Program provides a manual to assist anyone who is interested in starting their own "Memories in the Making" art class.
Volunteers are trained to assist in running the program.
