THE ALZHEIMER’S FAMILY AND CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM

WHATFree in-home care help and support for family caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia.

Program Description


“Caregivers buy services and goods to care for someone with Alzheimer’s. Members may receive up to $4,000 each depending on the county’s priorities and a person’s need for services.”

Free in-home care and support for families caring for loved ones with dementia may include:

  • Adult day care.
  • In-home help.
  • Respite care.
  • Support groups and self-care.
  • Transportation.
  • Chair lifts.
  • Hobby supplies.
  • Home meal delivery.
  • Nutrition supplements.
  • Security systems.
  • Special adaptive clothes.
