Program Description

The Alzheimer's Association 24/7 Helpline connects callers with staff who are trained and knowledgeable on Alzheimer’s and other dementias.  

  • Understanding memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's.
  • Medications and treatment options.
  • Information on aging and brain health.
  • Skills to provide quality care.
  • How to find the best care from Alzheimer’s and other dementia care professionals.
  • Referrals to local community programs, services and ongoing support.
  • Legal, financial and living-arrangement decisions.

If needed, one-on-one confidential care consultation by master's level clinicians may be requested. These sessions may help with decision-making support, crisis assistance and education.

The Alzheimer's Helpline provides translation service in more than 200 languages and dialects.

The Alzheimer's Association has locations across the USA which provide support for anyone affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. In addition to the 24 hour helpline, the Alzheimer's Association also provides support groups and education, an Alzheimer’s and other dementias library, and an Alzheimer’s Navigator, an online guide for Dementia Caregivers to create a personalized action plan with links to help, support and local resources.
