Program Description
This affordable senior housing assistance program consisits of elderly cottages that feature one bedroom, one bathroom, living space, storage, appliances and six-foot porch.
Restrooms are handicapped accessible and wheelchair ramps are available.
A newer version known as the "double ET" comes with two bedrooms to accommodate the elderly who have a family caregiver living with them.
The cost is approximately $30,000 per unit for materials.
The "Elderly Transportable Cottage" Program is a unique alternative senior housing program. The program is ideal for churches and other organizations who can assist with volunteer help in the construction and funding of an affordable senior housing alternative.
