Program Description
“The Residential Emergency Services to Offer (Home) Repairs to the Elderly (RESTORE) program provides financial resources to assist senior citizen homeowners with the cost of addressing emergencies and code violations that pose a threat to their health and safety or affect the livability of their home.”

Financial assistance may be used to help senior homeowners with emergency home repairs.
Eligible seniors must:
- Own and live in the residence.
- Be 60 years or older.
- Have a household income less than 100% of the area median income.
Home safety modifications for seniors may include:
- Wheelchair ramp
- Doorway Widening
- Chair Lift
- Grab bars/ Hand railings
- Walk-in tub or Roll in Shower
- Roof or Foundation repairs
- Air Conditioning Heating, or Electrical repairs
The New York State Access to Home program is an additional home modification program which provides financial assistance to low- and moderate-income persons with disabilities so that they can live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
