Program Description

Kelly Benson provides housing for homeless and chronically homeless older adults.

Housing Connect places individuals who have been living on the street or in shelters for a year or longer or four times in the past three years into housing subsidized with government funding.

In addition to being provided with an apartment, homeless seniors are provided with case management and supportive services through Housing Authority staff and social service providers.

Kelly Benson apartments are subsidized with Shelter Plus Care and Project Based Section 8 voucher programs. Senior residents pay 30% of their income towards rent.
