"CARE ASSURANCE SYSTEM FOR THE AGING AND HOMEBOUND (CASA) FREE WHEELCHAIR" PROGRAM
Program Description
Free ramps that are installed for seniors follow the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
Free senior services are provided through the help of volunteers and CASA staff. To qualify for free wheelchair ramps and home modifications seniors must be age 60 or older and or homebound. For more qualifying information visit the "Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound" website.
In addition to installing free wheelchair ramps, CASA of Alabama also provides senior home modification services such as installation of grab bars, installing oversized steps and other home repair assistance such as home winterization along with telephone check in calls.
