Program Description
Funding is provided to Tribal organizations to assist older Native Americans with aging support services including:
- Congregate and home-delivered meals.
- Information and referral.
- Transportation.
- Personal care.
- Chores.
- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Caregiver Support.
Caregiver support includes assisting families in caring for older relatives with chronic illness or disability, and grandparents caring for grandchildren. Caregivers are also provided individual counseling, support groups and training, respite care, and information and outreach.
