U.S. board-certified internists, state-licensed family practitioners, pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, counselors and therapists are available for virtual visits. Online Doctors are licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. and living in the U.S.
Teledoc connects users with a doctor licensed in the state of residence, however users may not request a particular doctor as the telehealth service is meant to support an existing doctor patient relationship and not replace it.
Doctors review medical records to determine past conditions, medications, allergies and family medical history.
If needed a prescription may be sent to the pharmacy of choice.
The cost for an online doctor appointment depends on an individual’s health insurance policy.
