The "Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease" Program is appropriate for seniors with arthritis and other chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension.
The "Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease" Program will helps seniors with Arthritis and other chronic conditions to:
-Develop a walking plan to meet specific needs
-Stay motivated
-Learn how to deal with Pain Management
-Learn how to exercise safely
-Reduce pain and discomfort
-Increase balance, strength and walking pace
-Build confidence to be physically active
-Improve overall health and wellness
Arthritis classes are taught by a certified leader across the U.S.A., or can be self-guided with assistance from the Arthritis Foundation's book, "Walk With Ease."
The "Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease" Program is a part of a larger program of the Arthritis Foundation called "Let's Move Together." The website hosts a "Movement Tracker" that allows participants to set and track movement goals.
The Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation's nationwide signature event that supports public awareness and raises funds to fight arthritis.
