Program Description
The Seniors Rights Service helps seniors to advocate for themselves on a variety of issues and also resolve issues and complaints with aged care service providers.
Seniors Rights Service helps seniors fight issues related to:
- Human Rights - elder abuse including sexual abuse, financial abuse and discrimination.
- Planning Wills - power of attorney, guardianship.
- Housing Issues – assist residents to resolve complaints at aged care homes, accommodation, granny flats, retirement villages issues.
- Consumer issues - debt management, unfair contracts.
- Home Care –receiving in-home care or aged home care.
The Senior Rights Service hosts an annual National Elder Abuse Conference.
