The Speaking Exchange project was started at the CNA language school in Liberdade, Brazil where students were paired with older adults at Windsor Park Retirement Community in Chicago.
CNA language schools were searching for a way to make learning English more realistic with a human touch. The connection to native English speakers in a retirement community was one solution.
