The organization aims to inform the public on climate change and advocate for environmental policies to help protect the planet for the younger generation.
STAY COOL works to:
·Empower grandparents and grandchildren to be passionate and informed voices on global warming.
·Engage members in educational events about a climate action topics and encourages interested elders to participate.
·Activate the base to provide policymakers and elected officials with credible support on climate issues and practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
·Connect the collective wisdom of elders with San Diego’s youth through environmental education programs.
-The STAY COOL Ocean Climate Science program educates kids about climate change and it's impact on the ocean. The multigenerational program involves elders teaching students about ocean and marine life and conducting experiments.
