Senior Physicians by the American Medical Association helps advocate for older physicians on issues such as ageism, senior physician competency, hearing loss, healthy aging and more.
The program is open to both active and retired senior physicians.

In honor of Older Americans Month, the AMA celebrates senior physician members in the month of May.
The American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation’s Jack B. McConnell, MD, Award for Excellence in Volunteerism Honors senior physicians (55+ years old) who are committed to providing medical care to those without access to health care in the U.S. The AMA Foundation focuses on awarding leaders in the medical field, community health projects, and medical education, scholarships and mentorships.
