Program Description
“The program connects retired boomers with meaningful volunteer opportunities at select nonprofit organizations that desperately need help.”

Older adults are able use their knowledge to mentor younger generations in a particular industry.
Volunteer opportunities for older adults may include taking on the following roles:
- Experienced leaders or technical experts.
- Mentors and educators to young professionals and to young children.
- Serving on boards and commissions.
- Helping those in need including the homeless, children and those with little resources.
Applying the experience and skills of older adults can increase an organization’s competitive advantage.
The mission of Give 5 is to celebrate older adults and help retirees transition from work life and careers to an engaging, fulfilling retirement life.
Give 5 is a part of the United Way of the Ozarks which works to fight hunger, shelter the homeless, protect families and children from violence and assist after illness or a disaster.
