CAREGIVER ACTION NETWORK
FAMILY CAREGIVER STORY PROJECT
Across the USA.
Program Description
"A sense of isolation, a belief that 'I am the only one thinking and feeling this way' is a very common idea among family caregivers. However, the sad reality is millions of people are thrust into the role of family caregivers and many think and feel exactly the same way that you do."
"The CAN Story Project offers family caregivers a platform to both share their stories and to read other family caregiving experiences. It's easy to do."

The Family Caregiver Story Project is based on the belief that when family caregivers do not share stressful feelings they are at risk for feeling increased isolation and frustration.
Once the fear of being misunderstood subsides, family caregivers can share their unique story and in the process reduce feelings of isolation and learn from others sharing their own caregiver stories.
The Caregiver Action Network aims to:
Reduce Caregiver Stress
Create Respect for Family Caregivers
Create Capable and Resourceful Caregivers
The Caregiver Action Network (CAN) is a family caregiver organization working to improve the quality of life for more than 65 million Americans caregivers. The Caregiver Action Network supports caregivers for the elderly, adult children caring for parents with Alzheimer’s disease, those caring for the disabled and many other types of caregivers.
