The San Francisco Elder Abuse Prevention Forensic Center Program is a collaborative,
multi-disciplinary process to investigate elder abuse by involving police, district attorney, legal services and counseling, and coordinating a variety of basic senior support services such as housing, food and medical care.
The Elder Abuse Prevention Forensic Center Program works with Adult Protective Services, Public Guardian's Office, Long-Term Care Ombudsman, District Attorney's Office, and the Police Department on elder abuse cases.
Some of the elder abuse prevention services include:
-Counseling program for elder abuse victims.
-Training professionals on elder abuse detection.
-Public Awareness on elder abuse and senior scams and fraud.
-Multidisciplinary Team Review of elder abuse cases.
-Consultation on suspected elder abuse cases.
