Program Description
The Nursing Home Advocacy Project Program has successfully:
-Introduced legislation to reform admissions and discharge practices by nursing homes and financial responsibility and billing practices.
-Brought awareness to nursing home patterns of noncompliance with state and federal regulations and prompted reform legislation
-Litigated against a national nursing home chain for fraudulent admissions contracts, which resulted in sweeping national changes.
