Program Description
Elder legal services are provided by lawyers and range from summary advice to full representation.
Seniors First BC also administers the Seniors Advocacy and Information Line which is a toll free telephone line for older adults and others to speak to trained professionals about elder abuse and legal questions.
Seniors First BC is committed to protecting the legal rights of older adults, increasing access to justice for older adults, informing the public about elder abuse and providing supportive programs for older adults who have been abused.

BC Centre for Elder & Advocacy Legal Advocacy Program A trained legal advocate who is a paralegal provides legal information to those who call the Seniors Advocacy & Information Line. Advocates also provide legal representation to older adults with problems related to access to safe housing, access to government benefits and pensions and elder abuse.
BC Centre for Elder & Advocacy Support Victim Services Program: Helps victims of elder abuse or a crime to access the justice system and provides them with emotional support.
BC Centre for Elder & Advocacy Education & Outreach Programs Elder advocacy, elder abuse prevention education and workshops delivered by staff, and through senior peer-to-peer workshops.
