PROVIDING ADVOCACY FOR VICTIMIZED ELDERLY (PAVE) PROGRAM
(CARIE)
Philadelphia, PA, USA.
Program Description
"Providing Advocacy for Victimized Elderly is a victim assistance program ... staff assists the victim with whatever needs exist; those that are related to the crime as well as any other identified needs."
"We are initiating a first-of-its-kind program in restorative justice for elder victims of crime and abuse. Often prosecution is not the course preferred by an elder victim of crime or abuse when the perpetrator is a family member or someone else known to them. The restorative justice process respects the rights and relationships of elder victims along with their safety."
"The CARIE LINE is a free telephone and online consultation service providing information and resolving problems for older adults and those who care for them. All calls are welcome –Medicare, long term care, housing, health care, quality of life concerns, advance planning and any-thing else that is of concern to older adults, their families and others who care about them."
