Program Description
“We have this stereotype that older men bark all the time…that they complain and fuss, don’t move well and are ill or unhealthy. We’ve tried to shine a positive light on men and grandfathers as being men who are caring, kind, and compassionate. They’re leaders in the community who want to touch the lives of young people and make a positive difference.”

Grandpas United allows older adults to contribute their skills, talent, experiences, give back to the community and connect with youth.
Grandpas United intergenerational activities and events include:
Youth Court - one-on-one mentoring and monthly meetings with student leaders.
Grandpas Go To School – elementary school monthly program.
Coffee With Grandpas – a monthly Grandpas meeting for community engagement and peer support.
Grandpas Go to Camp – annual visit to summer camp programs with entertainment.
Grandpas Got Talent – annual intergenerational talent showcase with high schoolers.
