Program Description
Before moving into assisted living or a nursing home seniors have a chance to meet staff and other residents, and experience activities and meals before making a decision to move into a new home.
The program allows for seniors to lessen the fear or anxiety usually associated with moving and a change in residence.
Aegis Living's Short Term Care, or respite care, offers its services and amenities to seniors on a temporary basis. Most commonly respite care is used for the following reasons:
Caregiver Vacation Respite - If a caregiver needs respite to take care of errands or other business or simply needs some vacation time.
Hospital Discharge - A short stay for seniors who have been discharged from the hospital and are not yet ready to return home.
Trial Stay - Before moving into assisted living or a nursing home seniors have a chance to meet staff and other residents, and experience activities and meals before making a decision to move into a new home.
Day Stay Program - When senior caregivers need to go to work seniors are able to enjoy day care and senior activities, such as outings, meals and socialization.
Aegis Living partners with Bastyr University and the University of Washington School of Medicine. Senior housing ranges from independent senior living, to Assisted Living, Memory Care and Specialized Nursing Care.
