GRANDMA’S HOUSE INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAM
Program Description
Grandma's House Intergeneration Program creates an extended family for children and adults with various disabilities who are usually awaiting medical foster home placement.
Seniors and disabled children and adults live together in a neighborhood, home-like environment.
24 hour skilled nursing care is provided for children who require placement due to their medical conditions.
Older adults are admitted based on specific criteria and background checks.
Eligible Children are admitted based on specific criteria.
Grandma's House Intergenerational Program provides seniors a meaningful way to contribute their skills and talent and provides children with a homelike atmosphere. The program was created as a result of a vision that addressed the community's need for short and long term pediatric services.
A charter school is also located onsite for children.
