Program Description
"The Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement is a national nonprofit coalition of environmental, aging and volunteer organizations established in 1991 as the result of a visionary agreement between the US Environmental Protection Agency and the American Association of Retired Persons. EASI's mission is to increase opportunities for older adults to play an active, visible role in protecting and improving the environment in their communities."

Some of the Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement's projects include senior citizens working to do the following:
-Monitoring the quality of the state's streams and rivers and conduct restoration and education programs.
-Monitoring water quality and educating communities about protecting drinking water.
-Settting up operational watersheds.
-National Parks Volunteer Senior Ranger Corps members providing assistance to national parks.

Senior Environment Corps which has organizations in every state and 20 foreign countries carrying out a wide range of environmental activities.
The environmental organization puts out publications and papers regarding aging and the environment.
