Program Description
Facilitators of the Older Women Living Safely Program provide a safe, encouraging environment where women victims of abuse can be heard, learn about themselves and others.
Support groups meet weekly with older adult women being encouraged to tell their stories, and how they coped.
Counselors provide group and individual counseling in person and phone, safety planning, and referrals.
The program is free and the longest running of its kind in North America and is also referred to as the Older Women’s Long-Term Survival Program.
