"MUSIC FOR HEALING & TRANSITION" PROGRAM
Program Description
The "Music for Healing & Transition" organization professionally trains and certifies musicians to provide music therapy to senior and other healthcare facilities and community organizations for healing patients or to provide comfort to those near end of life.
Some courses under the Music therapy certification include:
-Patient Assessment for Live Therapeutic Music, Injury Prevention
-Alterations in Health, Care of the Dying, & Clinical Practicum
-Music as a Language
-Philosophies of Healing/Sound, Music & Healing
"Music for Healing & Transition" hopes to educate and increase awareness of the effectiveness of music therapy in the healing process and the life/death transition.
