NATIONAL ASIAN PACIFIC CENTER ON AGING'S SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Senior Community Service Employment (SCSEP) Program.
Program runs across the U.S.A.
Program Description
The Senior Community Service Employment (SCSEP) Program trains seniors 20 hours per week, and they are paid according to Federal, State or local minimum wage, whichever is highest.
A wide variety of community service employment assignments are available for Asian American and Pacific Islander seniors including day-care, childcare, senior centers, public libraries, social service agencies, and government offices.
The hope is that community service training will serve as a bridge for seniors to gain unsubsidized employment opportunities in the future.
The National Asian Pacific Center advocates for and empowers Asian American and Pacific Islanders seniors.
The National Asian Pacific Center on Aging's Community Service Employment Program is part of the National Senior Community Service Employment (SCSEP) Program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor.
